Metlink brings you City Safari

I saw a poster up on my bus this morning reminding me of Metlink City Safari, which runs on 17 May 2015. You have a couple weeks to arrange your team (2-5 people) and study your city maps. After 10 May, a late fee applies to registrations. Get sorted early.

How you get around is up to you. Your feet are free to use, but might not cover the distance you’ll need.

The following public transport services are available to help in your days adventure:

  • Tranz Metro Trains
  • Go Wellington bus
  • Mana Coach Service
  • Newlands Coach Service
  • Airport Flyer
  • Valley Flyer
  • The Wellington Cable Car
  • East By West Ferry

Your race pack will include a day pass.  Thanks to the support of the transport operators, this pass will entitle you to free transport on the above services.

There’s really no better way to see the city in a new way and to learn the ins and outs of the public transport network at the same time. If you don’t believe me, check out this review of last year’s safari.
