This Week: Two Big Events For Cycling Advocates

What are NZ’s best biking projects?

Find out at the ASB Cycle Friendly Awards ceremony, which is open to the public without reservation or ticketing. The ceremony will be held at the Wellington City Council Chambers, Old Town Hall Building, 111 Wakefield St (see map) on Friday 29 October starting at 5:30 PM.

Wellington Regional Council Chair Fran Wilde will officiate, with Glen Koorey of CAN as MC.

Bike to the Future

Want more people on bikes, more often?

Join bike advocates at CAN Do 2010, the annual get-together of the Cycling Advocates’ Network. The weekend includes workshops, training, rides, plenty of food and drink, and a chance to catch up with fellow “CANners” from around New Zealand.

When: Saturday 30 – Sunday 31 October 2010

Where: Petone Central School, 16 Britannia St, Petone, Lower Hutt (see map)
Handy to bus routes 81, 83, 91(airport flyer) . Bus stop is near Petone Police station.
